Fusing klezmer with the tropical beat, Meshuganah Mambo is the newest sound global sound from the dance halls New York City.
This is a band that’s built for movement, connection, and big, open-air stages.
The project draws inspiration from a forgotten moment in American music, when Yiddish and Latin dance bands shared stages in mid-century, Catskills resorts (known as The Borscht Belt) and in New York’s legendary halls.
Meshuganah Mambo reclaims that spirit, treating it not as nostalgia, but as a living source of creative energy.
Abe Pollack (Bass), Primo (Drums), Mikey Sarason (Hammond Organ), Daniela Serna (Percussion), Eric Vanderbilt-Mattews (Saxophone/Piano)
